This is a 7″ composition bank showing Peppermint Patty as a baseball player. She wears a red baseball cap with a black brim, a yellowish-orange shirt, black shorts, and black sandals. She stands with both hands resting on a baseball bat, which is poised between her feet directly in front of her. The bank’s coin slot is located on the back of Peppermint Patty’s head. The original generic black rubber stopper underneath her feet is missing. This item was manufactured in 1972 by Determined as part of a larger Peanuts character baseball player collection that also included Linus, Schroeder, Charlie Brown, Lucy, and Snoopy. It has a few chips of paint. Marked: “c. 1972 United Feature Syndicate Inc.” and has a sticker on bottom that says “Hand made in Japan”. Hard to find! Very collectible! Perfect gift for a Snoopy collector or a baseball fan!

Peppermint Patty is a pro on the baseball field, but in the classroom she’s a D-minus. She’s bold and tomboyish, lacking in common sense but very sincere. She’s the only one who calls Charlie Brown “Chuck.” Patty is oblivious to a lot of what goes on around her. For a long time she didn’t realize that “the funny-looking kid who plays shortstop” was a beagle. Most of her waking hours in the schoolroom are spent analyzing the probability patterns of true-false tests.
